After treatment
Post-operative instructions
Written instructions are given at every surgical appointment. These summaries are general guidance — always follow the specific instructions you were sent home with.
First 24 hours
Bite on gauze as directed, use cold compresses, rest, and avoid rinsing, spitting, straws, and smoking.
Eating and hygiene
Stay with soft, cool foods for the first day or two. Keep brushing elsewhere in your mouth and avoid the surgical site until told otherwise.
